What the AI recognises in your rooms
Most movers still send an estimator for a visual survey, or ask you to type out a long inventory. A moving company needs three things to plan a job: what has to move, how big and heavy it is, and how hard it is to carry. Moover gets all three from your video.
- Furniture, appliances, lamps, plants, rugs, bikes and instruments, each counted once
- Size in cm and weight in kg per item, so the volume adds up to a real number of m³
- Fragile (glass, screens, art), heavy (over 50 kg) and take-apart items flagged
- Small loose things counted as standard 60-litre moving boxes
- Notes for the crew: narrow stairs, a piano, a wall full of books
How the price is calculated
No black box. The same rules apply to every move:
- Crew: 2 movers under 8 m³, 3 under 22 m³, 4 above
- Truck: one 20 m³ truck per 20 m³ of volume
- Time: 0.8 mover-hours per m³ shared by the crew, +12% per floor without a lift, +15 minutes per item to take apart, plus the real driving time +30 minutes to and from the depot (+1 hour driving until both addresses are known)
- Rate: $55 per mover per hour, $150 per truck and $1.25 per mile per truck
- Local moves only: up to 100 miles between the two addresses
- You see a range from −10% to +12%; the owner confirms a fixed price
Questions about AI moving estimates
How accurate is an AI moving estimate from video?
The AI counts what it sees in 6 stills per room and estimates size and weight per item. Clear, slow footage of every wall gives the best result. The moving company always checks the plan and confirms a fixed price before the move.
Is my video uploaded?
No. Your phone takes 6 still frames from each room video and only those stills are sent. They are stored privately and deleted 1 hour after your last change in this demo.
How long does it take?
Filming takes 15 to 30 seconds per room. The AI needs about 20 to 40 seconds per room. A three-room apartment is done in under five minutes.
What if the AI misses something or counts too much?
You can remove any item with one tap, film the room again, or add photos. The owner also sees your notes before confirming.
How is the price calculated?
Movers cost $55 per hour each and a truck $150 per day, plus $1.25 per mile per truck for the drive. Crew size and hours follow from the volume, floors without a lift, items that need taking apart and the real driving time. You see a range first; the owner confirms a fixed price.
Where does Moover work?
Local moves within the United States, up to 100 miles between the two addresses. Both must be US street addresses: type and pick a suggestion, or tap the house on the map.
Do I need an account or an app?
No. Moover runs in the browser of any phone or laptop. Open the page, pick a room and film. You only leave your name, email and moving date when you send the request, so the mover can confirm.
Which languages does the crew app support?
Twelve: English, Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian Creole, Chinese, Vietnamese, Tagalog, Arabic, Russian, Ukrainian, French and Polish. Item names are translated too.
